Towson University is one of the largest public universities in the state of Maryland. It is located in suburban Towson, MD, just eight miles north of Baltimore. It has an enrollment of almost 22,000 students (84% of which are undergraduates). The University features more than 100 degree programs and its athletic programs compete on the Division 1 level in the Colonial Athletic Association, the nation's top mid-major conference.
The fraternity and sorority community at Towson has experienced significant success over the past couple of years. The Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life, Matt Lenno, noted that since he started at the institution, he has seen eight chapters win their respective 'chapter of the year' award from their inter/national organization and four 'most improved chapters of the year' awards. The community has also experienced unparalleled growth since 2011: four years ago, there were only 1250 students in the community and by the spring of 2016, the projection is upwards of 2900. Clearly, the community is growing in a positive way and we are excited to be a part of its promising future.
