The Terrence G. Harper Presidents Leadership Academy (PLA) is an educational leadership conference held each year for the primary leadership of the Fraternity's chapters and colonies (presidents/vice presidents). The program seeks to equip participants with the necessary tools and best practices to improve communication, effectively manage others, and to develop efficiency as an individual and for chapter or colony purposes.
Participants will learn together with Brothers from all over the country in both large and small group settings. While exploring common issues among chapters and colonies, participants will gain valuable information on values based leadership and develop their core competencies of communication, problem solving, goal setting, and interpersonal skills.
Presidents Leadership Academy was named after the Fraternity's 4th Executive Director, Terrence G. Harper Oklahoma State '85, in 2011. Brother Harper served as Executive Director of the Fraternity from 1990-1999 and served in various roles within the Fraternity after leaving his position as Executive Director. Brother Harper passed away on June 2, 2009.
Register for the upcoming Presidents Leadership Academy (January 22-24, 2016).
