Phi Kappa Psi Transitions to New Attorney General
Indianapolis April 21, 2017 – Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity announces a transition to a new Attorney General. Brother Lee C. Reid (Loyola ’93) assumed the office from outgoing Attorney General Barrett J. Anderson (Iowa ’05) effective April 12, 2017, as Br. Anderson undertakes new professional opportunities.
This is not the first time Br. Reid has volunteered in this position. He previously served as Attorney General from 2008 – 2010. He also served as District IV Archon from 1995-1997, and most recently was on the board for the Canonsburg Corporation.
Br. Reid is currently a partner in the New Orleans law firm of Adams and Reese, L.L.P. Outgoing Attorney General Anderson is moving to California to start work with a new law firm, but will continue as Deputy Attorney General for special projects. Phi Kappa Psi is grateful for Br. Anderson’s service to the fraternity and wishes him nothing but success in his future endeavors.
“I am incredibly grateful for the service that Br. Anderson has provided to the Executive Council and to the fraternity over the past many months,” said SWGP Jim Boyle. “His legal brilliance, commitment to the highest levels of ethics and reasoning, and remarkable dedication to the best interests of the fraternity cannot be understated. We are all fortunate to have benefited from Barrett’s service, and for that, I offer my sincerest thanks. At the same time, I am highly excited to welcome Br. Reid to the role of Attorney General. Many of us have worked extensively with Lee over the years, and so we are very pleased to bring his expertise and commitment to Phi Kappa Psi back to the Executive Council.”
