The Executive Council of Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity is pleased to announce Ronald K. Ransom II (Butler ’00) of Indianapolis, IN as its executive director.

Ron Ransom

New executive director of the Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity

Ransom is the eighth individual to serve in this role. He graduated from Butler University with a Bachelor of Science and has served Phi Kappa Psi in numerous professional capacities since 2004. Previous roles included educational leadership consultant, director of expansion, and senior director of chapter operations. Most recently, Ransom served as chief operating officer before assuming interim executive director responsibilities in May.

“We are delighted to name Ron the eighth executive director of the Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity,” said National President David Moyer. “He has shown loyalty and devotion to the fraternity ever since his initiation. His leadership as interim executive director has been phenomenal, restoring leadership and trust to the headquarters team. He is poised to lead Phi Psi well into the future.”

Ransom is looking forward to strengthening the relationship between the Fraternity and Foundation and restoring faith in Phi Kappa Psi in members across the world.

“It is an honor to be selected to serve as Phi Kappa Psi’s executive director in this pivotal time for our brotherhood,” said Ransom. “I am excited to continue working closely with the staff, volunteers, Foundation, alumni and friends to further our mission of engaging men of integrity.”

Ransom’s professional background boasts an extensive knowledge of Phi Kappa Psi, leadership and strategic planning with a personal emphasis on the success of those around him.

“Phi Kappa Psi’s loyal volunteers and donors need a leader like Ron,” said Ben Nicol, CEO of the Phi Kappa Psi Foundation. “There is no doubt that national fraternities are going through a period of change and adaptation, and while this has been experienced before in our community’s storied history, it will require special leadership. Brother Ransom has a level of experience in the Greek space that is unique and will serve Phi Kappa Psi well as we adapt and re-position our age-old value to a contemporary world. I am very excited to work by his side. He is genuine, professional, empathetic, bold and clear. I look forward to a great partnership.”
