Indianapolis (April 19, 2019) – The Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity Headquarters staff became aware of a story published in The (Swarthmore College) Phoenix detailing the conduct of a local fraternity going by the name of Phi Psi. This group is not affiliated with the national Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity, and we are weighing our options of how to best protect our name and trademarks from the actions of this local group.

While we have no affiliation with this group, we are still nevertheless appalled and shocked by their racist, homophobic and misogynistic actions, and we firmly stand with victims of sexual assault. In contrast, the membership of Phi Kappa Psi is diverse, and our policies have never restricted ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or physical ability. From day one of their affiliation, members are taught to treat all people with dignity and respect. We take pride in and celebrate the diversity of our great Fraternity and the positive contributions our members are making to society every day.
