Social events included our semi-annual Barn Dance, and formal in Toronto, where Phi Psi brothers and their dates had a great time attending a Toronto Blue Jays game, going to the hockey hall of fame, and a private venue rental. Illinois Iota – NIU

Submitted By: Jack Oakes ‘22

We are the 2025 NIU Tugs Champions! Tugs is a tradition here at NIU that started off as tug-of-war as you may know it. However, this strategic, strength and endurance-driven sport has developed into much more. Outfitted in a suit of duct tape, you hold the rope underneath your armpit against your back and tricep. You and six other team members (in individual six-inch deep 2-by-2 trenches) compete against all the fraternities on campus in a bracket-style tournament. Training involves workout programs, endurance training, and making all the right choices outside of practice. After three straight years of third place finishes, we were hungry to take home the championship trophy, and that we did!

Indiana Delta – Purdue

Submitted By: Vincent Salinas ‘24

The biggest success of the Indiana Delta Chapter has been a 9% increase in the overall GPA of our active brothers, rising from 2.99 to 3.12 last semester. Our goal for this semester is to increase the GPA to 3.23. Through our car wash for Hunter’s Fund, we have raised $750, despite not having a faculty advisor for most of the semester. With stability in the faculty advisor position, we plan to host at least four philanthropy events next year, with the goal of raising around $3,000. Additionally, our brothers organized a cleanup event, collecting garbage and debris to help make our community cleaner and a better place for everyone.
